Concept:

Conflict in the Palestinian autonomous district has been a serious social problem in Israel. This time, we’d propose a system which will make it possible for Jews and Palestinians to live symbiotically in Israel. Firstly, we will place the Ein hud in a symbiotic residence area with Arabians and Jewish people, and we'd suggest a generating system is for realization. According to this plan, autonomous districts in Islamic areas in a similar situation will become independent, and people all over the world will recognize the state of lives in Islam by reports of mass communications. We wish it to be improved so that the world opinion will be raised, like the Black apartheid in South Africa.
The symbiotic residences we propose are respectively close to Ein Hod and Ein Hud. The goal is that they will be able to live with each other with respect and harmony.
Currently, Ein hod is an independent　village with residential environments. But Ein hud has no urbanogical (governmental institution, medical facilities, and schools etc.), and no infrastructure (electricity, gas, water supply etc.). It has to depend on employments and water supply for external village. So, we can't say Ein hud is an independent village and has equal relationship to Ein hod.
There are houses in this village, however it is short of essential elements (like infrastructure etc) as a organized community. Then,　we regard existed houses are parts of the topography, and make public spaces among them. We propose phased master plan by giving new elements, public facilities and market places etc. It is not a development　with investing　a huge sum in a moment. We don't intend to change the aspect of the village suddenly. It will be a condition that will be gradually extended by the people of Ein Hud and supporters.

The most important theme is that Ein Hud relates to Ein Hod on an equal condition. Because of this, we search for a solution from the economical side, cultural side, landscape side, historical side, and political side and propose an improvement plan.

Economical side

We plan that it will be occur to interchanges by making economical activities between Ein hud and Ein hod. So, we plan mainly to deal environmental commodities making it possible to achieve economical autonomy, agricultural industry, and tourism.

Product development
People should make the markets for producing and dealing commodities. Because of that, they revitalize the local industry, and develop the principal products of this district. We suggest one plan, cultivate farmlands in southeast area, and culture the farm products olives and grapes. Also, build a secondary processing plant to develop the products there.

Tourism
Ein hud can be appealed as a symbiotic residence area with Arabian and Jews, or as a village growing up and going on changing the aspects. It will be concerned from the people inside and outside Israel, and be expected having　 visitors included such political persons and private citizens. A tourism included building the accommodations for them will be able to be one of economical activities.

Employment be due to build facilities
The architectural plan we propose in this time is based on the system which is practicable by their selves. Then, it is not the plan which construction companies external Ein hud can make profits. The system which we produce provides works and pays wages for the village people.

Equipment worker
s condition, and increasing the working population by receiving sufferers from disaster.
People should correspond to increasing　population　by equipping residences and their infrastructure. Further, they receive sufferers from internal war, and provide temporary dwellings to them. It aims for increasing the working population by making it possible to earn their own livelihood. And then, they equip peripheral facilities, medical facilities.

Cultural side (Educational side)

It's a matter of course to change present poor educational facilities. To make the most of the local merit which has an artist's district in Ein hod, they can provide the places as an "artists in the residences for the publish their products　for the artists, and amusements to enjoy for the people. After several years, some of the children growing surrounded by the arts and aspiring to be an artist will appear. It is a great story that they will take something to learn from the present artists for the poor countries, villages, or people.

Landscape side

The district has beautiful scenery as its potentials which are composed of the mountains and the valleys colored by the olives. We propose the idea meaning "practical use", not like usual ideas, "protection" or "preservation", concerning this scenery. Roads, farmlands, public spaces, and facilities equipped in future will be as parts of the landscape, and will be bringing out the hidden attractions in the area.

Historical side

The present issue about the confrontation between Israel and Palestine is not a simple racial confrontation. There is a different recognition of historical fact from both the Palestinian and Jewish religious perspective. The biggest problem is that outsiders amplify the confrontation to exploit political recognition. We believe that it is possible to live symbiotically with both races recognizing each others religious feelings and historical fact correctly. Firstly, they should recognize own history correctly. Therefore,　we plan to build a church of Judaism next to the mosque standing in the village presently. We propose that the building arrangement as a symbol which is respectable by both races each other. Besides, we place open spaces around them and make scatted media center by random. The media center will cancel the different recognition of historical fact, and will make peace mentalｌｙ.

Political side

Finally, we are hoping that the district will become a symbiotic village for both Arabians and Jews. It is the Purpose of this proposal to demonstrate a model of "symbiotic life" that will spread all over Israel. It is hoped that regional wars will end and peace will pervade. This project would be spread by visitors and world media. We wish wars world wide would end. This proposal will not solve all the problems in Israel but it is meant to support peace.

■　Ｔechnical proposal

Grid system

We have analyzed the present site and determined that existing residences are scattered, also there is not enough public functions and residential infra structures in the village. We will adopt a hexagonal plane grid system which makes it possible to develop in multiple directions and cover the whole site. The hexagonal plane grid system has the shortest sides of polygons still keeping the same areas so it can retain materials in a minimum amount of space. Hexagons are an ideal shape for moving around corners and lend them selves easily to expansion and contraction.

Environment equipment system of the village

The proposal in this time is the system which for the village and villagers can grow up gradually by phased equipping. The method is not like changing the existing environments at one time. It will be forming with the lapse of time.
The flow of the environment equipment system is following.

1. To find public open spaces in the site by drawing the Voronoi diagram as points of existing buildings. This Voronoi points are distributed same distances from existing housings, then there are the points where residents communicate easily.　

2. In the open spaces, to equip the public spaces for the communications by residents each other included visitors. This term, they should enough argue about the form in the future by doing meetings and workshops.

3. The public spaces are going to spread out, and will be united with existing roads in the site. They public spaces run in the village freely, the sequential landscape will be formed. Temporary meeting spaces are formed here and there.

5. The public spaces will be changed their forms with the lapse of time. And, other facilities are going to be build as the occasion demands. At the same time, the population of village will be increasing.

6. When the environments are equipped, and the capacity of population and infrastructure, Ein hud as a autonomy district is established its identity, and recognized existence in Israel. At that time, the functions of the village will spread over the territory to surrounding areas

Construction system

We propose a construction system that the villagers and their supports can use easily independently. Facilities of the village are planned following a hexagonal plane grid system. The facilities formed by the grid paneling system is low cost and lightweight. This panel is made by hand by the villagers at the processing plant built in the village. Also, it is easy to transport　and to use in and construction because of it is lightweight.

Road 　agriculture area　parking

・Equip main roads　and parking
The proposal in this time which plan living symbiotically by the communication over every categories between Ein hud and Ein hod. Economic interchange doesn.t mean only cultural exchange, but it is the most important category for the village independent. Therefore it is important that equipment of a channel of distribution for keeping economical bases.
Then, they should equip the existing road connecting Ein Hud and Ein hod to the entrance where the markets are built in Northeast, and placed car parking gates there. The roads are jointed existing way of Northern　site, because of avoiding to control communications by this road, and equip infrastructure.

・Way in the village
Roadway is danger for the residents of the village formed by complicated streets. Undulations of the site are very hard, if the roads run in the village, they should meander through there. Then, the most of roads ran in the village are not equipped. Only pavement　run in the village. But, some of the roads jointed plants and markets are needed for transportation as functionally. This road goes through following the contour.

・Agricultural　area
Disposition of farmlands as a source of local industry　are placed in the Southeast of the site exposed to the sunshine so good for cultural vegetations. So, this area is placed as a industry area, and could make employments of villagers.

■ Receiving refugees

In the area, worker’s population will be increasing, if they will receive the refugees from internal war in Palestine. Then, they can keep workers of local industry and the Ministry of Construction, and it will be promoted to equip the environment infrastructure and to economical development. The Palestine sufferers are given relief and are going to independent. Ein hud is going on grow up as a village by they joined into workers.
