- I _ INFRASTRUCTURE AND ACCESSIBILITY

ANGF

To reach Ein Hud, even today, it is necessary to take the road which serves Ein Hod and the kibbutz of Nir Etzion, then, after having passed these places, a rudimentary road curves through a broken topography for more than ten minutes, finally leading to the village.

Not only do these dented roads and the hazardous path they follow represent a waste of time for a population which works primarily outside the village, but also, the dilapidation of these routes drains on the finances of the inhabitants of Ein Hud who must spend large sums of money to maintain their vehicle.
For a small village like Ein Hud, clearly lacking any means of obtaining an effective medical structure, the problem of isolation proves even more critical in case of emergency.

This is why the precondition to all ambitions of improvement and development of Ein Hud is the creation of a true infrastructure allowing access to the village, suitable to it’s historical, economic and geographical context. .
_ From a historical point of view, Ein Hud should not have to depend on Ein Hod’s infrastructure and warrants the creation of equivalent infrastructure which could enable it to regain its autonomy.
_ From an economic point of view, accessibility is the essential condition to the establishment of a perennial and productive activity, giving Ein Hud a chance to develop.
_ From a geographical point of view, a simple observation of the territory shows that the existing road to reach the village is an aberration since it obliges to make numerous turns whereas an almost rectilinear way joining road n°4 is implied almost naturally in the site.
